Founded in 2009, iD-Geoenvironmental Limited (ID-Geo) is an independent geoenvironmental and geotechnical consultancy specialising in the redevelopment of brownfield and greenfield land. The company is owned and managed by its two Directors, Nick Ward and Liam Murphy.
Nick Ward

Managing Director
Nick has twenty-three year’s experience in geoenvironmental consultancy, including investigation, assessment and remediation of greenfield and brownfield sites since 2005 and prior to this, design and construction of waste management facilities. Nick specialises in shallow mining investigation and treatment. Nick has previously worked in manufacturing and Local Government Planning & Development Control.
Liam Murphy
BSc (Hons), FGS, CGeol
Director
Liam is an Associate Director and Chartered Geologist with fifteen year's consultancy experience, holding a BSc Honours degree in Geology. Liam’s professional experience includes site investigation, geotechnical and environmental assessment, remediation design, supervision and verification, carried out across a range of commercial and residential development projects on both greenfield and brownfield sites in the UK
Dr Brandon Rice-Birchall
BA (Hons), PhD, FGS, CGeol
Consultant
Brandon is a Chartered Geologist with a PhD in geochemistry and has seventeen year's experience in geoenvironmental consultancy specialising in the investigation, assessment and remediation of greenfield and brownfield sites in the UK.
Prior to this Brandon spent twelve years as a Senior Lecturer in Applied Geology at Staffordshire University and was the course Director for the MSc Environmental Geology and Environmental Management.
